1. In as much detail as possible, record the steps it took to create this project in Photoshop. Use complete sentences. ​

The first steps I took when creating my identity collage project in Photoshop were setting an idea of what I would create to resemble me. The very first step to creating it was gathering images. I chose an image that'll be my theme, so I saved it as a jpg, and in Photoshop I clicked open file and selected my image to set it as my background. After collecting several other images for my collage, such as crows, piano keys, a vintage TV, a health bar from a video game, and a photo of myself onto the blank canvas.

 

 

2. Define the terms as they relate to Photoshop: Blend modes, layer masks, and adjustment layers. Give a specific example of how you used each of these in your identity collage.

Blend mode: I used blend modes to combine or camouflage into the background. 

Layer Mask: I used many layer masks to crop/erase parts of the image to make sense to others.

Adjustment layers: I used this to change the saturation of the image to a blue tint to make it feel underwater.

3. How does your college represent your identity? What specific images did you use, and what do they represent about you?

​The underwater theme represents the feeling of pressure and reaching for air as everything is overwhelming. The piano, planets and galaxy represent my interest. the moon is the night I was born. While the crows mean death in a relationship and how I feel and express my feelings with my relationship if people. My portrait is inside of a vintage tv because it show how I put on a show and how people see me as it's the only thing with color.

4. What was successful in your project? What was unsuccessful, and what would you do differently next time to solve this problem?

Some success I had making my identity collage was fitting everything into a theme while having representation. Some unsuccessful I had was searching specific images I was looking for, also coming up with ideas to add on the collage.

5. Based on the learning target, what level of mastery does your project demonstrate (exceeds, meets, needs work, minimal understanding)? Why do you think? Make sure to provide specific evidence.

Based on the learning target I believe my project shows a mastery of a 4, reaching all the requirements. I used all the tools that was ecpected to use into my collage and some new tools, Such as affects.
